Skrillex @ Electric Brixton After Show, London Feb 18th // With Alvin Risk & SebastiAn

Last night, Skrillex from L.A., the Grammy award-winning cyborg played at London’s Electric Brixton for After Show following his gig at the O2 Academy Brixton. Alvin Risk and the club’s MC got the crowd feeling rowdy, solidifying a wild cross-section of London’s rave scene into one gyrating mass. At 2 am SebastiAn took the decks, showcasing the darker side of electro- and tech house with tracks like Nero’s remix of ‘C.T.F.O.’ and his own remix of Daft Punk’s ‘Human After All’. Noisia – Split The Atom (Kito Remix) // Preview on Radio Xtra & Show @ Fabric, London

London-based producer and DJ Kito just put up a preview of her upcoming release on BBC Radio 1xtra today – this viciously deep and hugely melodic track is her remix of Noisia’s ‘Split The Atom’. It’ll be featured by Mau5trap Records on Noisia’s special edition remix album on Feb 27th.

You Should Listen To… [#8]

Now for part two of my impromptwo two-part YSLT deuce-a-thon: Dubstep.

One cool thing about dubstep is that it’s easily identifiable. Sure, there are different styles and I guess there are sub-genres, but their wobbles, womps and 140 beats per minute keep it all categorically tidy. And I really can’t get enough of dubstep comments. Why can’t electro house have an equally witty fanbase? Idk dude but it’s lame.

I’ll let the dubstep community do the talking, and watch as you giggle, expand the blog post, and download each track in this edition – because I’ve got some filthy, dirty, grimey songs waiting to be given a home.
