It’s me, emptyseven, the mad scientist currently reviving Disco for your ears, and oh boy do I have some goodies for you all this week. A bit of Tuffem Up! tuneage from down under to begin with, some Louis La Roche (remember the name, you’ll see it a fair bit) and of course, one of my personal nu disco favourites: Grum. I feel kinda bad for missing last weeks Disco Ain’t Dead post, but in my defense I was traveling so it was a bit difficult for me to manage. However, as consolation, this week’s edition has some sick bangers that’ll make you wish you could hop in a Delorean and go back to the 80s to relive the tunes that inspired this kind of music. Dutch house is great, Dubstep is sick, and let’s be honest, we all love the hybrid Electro House/Dubstep demonspawn that is Skrillex’s music. But sometimes, music gets a bit too futuristic and ‘avant-garde’. That’s where I come in. Once a week, I’ll drop some Nu-Disco goodness for all you people that love a bit of funk and bounce in your music. I’m just gonna go ahead and say it: Disco Ain’t Dead, Motherfuckers.
